Serious costumes are used in the event of a play or show. Normally serious costumes are not part of you local masquerade party. Some of the adult costumes available from costume outlets or bargain retailers in your neighborhood can be used as serious costumes. Sometimes the conservative styles appear more serious than they were designed to. Homemade costumes are the best bet when designing a serious costume for an event other than a party.
