Kooky is a term that could be interpreted in many ways. Kooky typically refers to a lack or seriousness or maybe even a small case of temporary insanity. Kooky costumes however can be a whole different ballgame. Many of the adult costumes available from costume outlets or bargain chain stores can qualify as kooky. Sometimes even the conservative styles appear more kooky than they were designed to be. Homemade costumes are typically more kooky than their storebought, mass-produced counterparts due to creativity that doesn't require much social correctness.
