Funny is a term that could be interpreted in numerous ways. Funny weather or funny joke, I guess it's all relative. Funny typically refers to a lack or seriousness or maybe even goofiness or wackiness. Funny costumes however have been very popular for quite some time. Many of the adult costumes available from costume retailers or chain stores can definitely qualify as funny. Sometimes even the conservative styles appear more funny than they were designed to be. Homemade costumes can be more funny than their commercially produced, mass-distributed brethren due to creativity that doesn't require any amount of political or social correctness. If you've got the time and creative ability, a funny costume made with your own two hands will probably be far more popular than any commercially available costume at the next masquerade party.
